Another 80’s children’s movie that seems from start to finish like a fever dream. The story of a boy who gets a scare inside a recently burned down house and subsequently loses all his hair. Bald, with no signs of hair regrowth, he desperately uses a recipe he received, from a pair of ghosts, to regrow his hair. By not following the instructions precisely his hair not only grows back at an alarming pace but will not stop growing either. Meanwhile his former art teacher has discovered his secret and kidnaps him to start a magic paintbrush factory using his hair and kidnapped children to assemble them. Hold on now, there’s more, the brushes are magic and paint living pictures so real you can go inside them, which the kids use to trick the Kidnapper into painting the house that scarred our main character at the start, and then going inside to get scarred himself. Somehow this transfers the ‘Fright » into the former teacher, restoring his hair to normal growth. WOW
